Bataleon are new to outerwear this year, bringing to bear similarly technical solutions to material problems that gave the world Triple Base Technology. That means simple, well-designed outerwear that works well and looks good.
Sandbox was founded in 2004 by BC legend Kevin Sansalone. Originally a filming crew, they expanded into making functional and stylish helmets in 2007. Having already won great acclaim for the movies, it was no surprise that the helmets took the scene by storm.
Bataleon and Sandbox are both rider-operated companies and both deliver rider-driven products. Both brands are all about combining functionality with good looks so it seemed only natural and sensible to work together! We are pleased and proud to announce the all new Bataleon X Sandbox collaboration helmet.
The pattern on Bataleon's outerwear this season as well as this helmet is called ‘BATTERN’, mainly because it is a pattern made of bats. The artwork is by the awesome Karl Grandin (www.karlgrandin.com) of the Woo Collective of Sweden (www.woo.se). The artwork is so good that we just covered the entire ‘Sandbox Classic’ helmet in it. Sandbox took care of the insides with a EPS foam liner that is the thinnest fully certified liner on the market. Now you can stay safe without the mushroom head!
