What is the worst job you had prior to starting the shop?:

to open a shop in tirol while beeing german?!

How long have you been involved with snowboarding?:

started when i was 13 – that was 23 years ago...

How would you describe the style of your shop?:

we are in zillertal/tirol – it´s all like pretty relaxed-style here...

How many staff do you have helping out shoppers and making sure they leave happy with bags full of product?:

we have up to 11 people in the winter-season and 3 in summer + 1 dude in the office – doing the webshop and feeding the dog...

How do you greet customers? Do you get into over-hype mode or are you a cool cat? :

depends on the customers and the night before – basicly natural! don´t expect jokes on sundays!

What's your customer pick-up line?:

beer or coffee?

What brands do you stock? Do you have a season favourite this year? :

We got brands like: Ästhetiker, Adio, Apo, Amplid, Bataleon, Bern, Burton, Dakine, Drake, Electric, Flux, Forum, Four Square, Fox, Helly Hansen, K2, Neff, Nitro, Northwave, Poc, Pow, Reef, Rip Curl, Rome, Rossignol, RVCA, Skullcandy, Special Blend, Spy, Vans, Völkl, WeSC, Zimtstern, and many more....

Do you have a posse of kids who hang out at the shop after school, thinking they own the place?:

YEP – WE HAVE, but they´re “tirola-buamen” and pretty ok so far.

How do the majority of your customers shop with you? Real life or web?:

its like 70/30 – depends on the season...

What's your shoplifting policy? Enslavement or amputation?:

enslavement!

What kind of music do you usually play in the shop?:

guess that they are playing all kind of tunes downstairs. Up here in the office we have wefunkradio playing most of the time...

Who's on your shop shred team? Are they any good or are they just homies? :

we got shreders like Flo Heim (APO-Snowboards), Steve Kröll(Amplid-Snowboards) and Sylvia Hundsbichler (Drake) and the boys from the freeski team: Bene Winkler, Chris Ebenbichler, Felix Wiemers, Sebi Hannemann, Matthias Egger, Mike Hauser, Patrick Pichler, Roman Rohrmoser, Roy Kittler and Mani Eder.

they´re all doing well and its nice to see them rising. BigUps to our Team!!!

Would you ever consider expanding into a chain of shops, or would it be like selling-out to you? :

we like to stay independent!

What shred mags do you have in the staff toilet? How about nudie mags?:

every-european-shred-mag-and-every-nudie-mag!

This year we are one of the Main Sponsors of the SickTrickTour2010 (http://www.sicktricktour.com) .

We have a board and freeski test at the VansPenkenPark every monday and thursday during the winter season where you can ride the new stuff in the park for FREE !

We ONLY ride down here in zillertal, there is just so much to ride!

If you weren't a snowboard shop (or anything similar), what kind of shop would you be?:

maybe a “zillertaler-Speck-Stube” ?!
