We made our way to Voralberg for the second edition of the Montafon Banked Slalom and let me tell you, it was totally worth it! What an awesome gathering of kindred souls, all bound by their love of carving ruts through berms, good tunes and a mellow vibe. From pros to weekend warriors, everyone is there to have some fun on the soft snow and drink some suds with their buds after the "race". The course itself was actually pretty challenging for those who were focused on getting a good time. Each turn was totally different and required lots of concentration to hold a solid line through the berms and not chatter out on your edge and lose all your speed. It was also pretty long, best times were just under 1:30 mins, so it was definitely a leg burner. All in all, it was a fucking blast, we cruised on the pistes, chilled in the sun, ate good food, drank beer out of plastic bottles and smoked some doobies while shit like the Ramones and the Descendents played in the background. Then we poached the course a few times each to seal off the day in style. Check out some shots from this most excellent event put on by Deeluxe, and make sure to come through next year, you won't be disappointed!
