Spring Sessions: Over and Out!

Moreboards Stubai Zoo is heading to its summer sleep

For eight weeks the program of the Spring Sessions 2012 in Austria`s biggest glacier ski resort offered loads of action and events. Up to 20 May everybody could run riot from morning to night on the diverse and daily freshly shaped setup in the MOREOBOARDS Stubai Zoo. The snowpark on the Stubai Glacier is now off to its well-deserved summer break until on 19 October it will again head to the new season with the MOREBOARDS Stubai Premiere 2012 at full throttle.

For two months Stubai Zoo was the place to be. Events like the Forum Snowboards & Friends Park Opening, the Stubai Jam, free stuff tests of Lib Tech, Gnu and Roxy, the freeride.cz freeski camp and the Lipstick Ladies Day with Julia Baumgartner, Conny Bleicher and Diana Sadlowski enriched the Spring Sessions in the snowpark on the Stubai Glacier.

On 13 May 2012 plenty of cash could be won at the MOREBOARDS Battle the Pros with the MOREBOARDS team riders Mario Käppeli and Peter König. Twenty riders were brave enough to battle the pros on the different obstacles in the snowpark on the Gaisskarferner. Peter and Mario rewarded each sick trick with a note out of the overall prize money of 500 Euros.

The Facebook Photo Challenge was the highlight at the end of the season. Loads of first class pictures shot in the MOREBOARDS Stubai Zoo went public this way. Stefanie Neusser from Innsbruck plugged the most diligently and got 418 Likes for her pic until the deadline. The photo was awarded decently with a Red Bull mobile phone including a Red Bull MOBILE contract.

For the last time the jibbers gathered for the Quiksilver Jib Session with blue-bird and summery temperatures at the snowpark on 19 May. The Stubai Glacier treated all the riders of the session to a yummy BBQ. During the Jam Session on different obstacles one rider especially stood out. Congratulations go to Florian Handschuh who with his performance won one week of surf holidays for two persons in the Quiksilver Surflodge Portugal provided by www.puresurfcamps.com. What a perfect season final! All in all it was a gorgeous spring until the last day.

Outlook: MOREBOARDS Stubai Premiere 2012
Despite the winter is now finally off to its summer break it will return to the Stubai Glacier quite soon. With the MOREBOARDS Stubai Premiere 2012 the Stubai Zoo will again open its gates in fall and will from 19 to 21 October 2012 provide a superlative opening. A bulked program with Jib Battles, Trick Sessions, Snowboard and Rookie Contests, Video Workshops and Girls’ Camps will sweeten the season kick-off already for the fourth time in a row. In the Brandsaloon at the Eisgrat more than 40 brands such as DC, Ride, Burton, Rome, Nitro, Flow, or Forum present their latest stuff of the upcoming season 2012/2013 that can to be tested free and straightforward. For all party people the fantastic parties will be extended. On two evenings eight parties in four locations are waiting to be rocked.
