First 5 Artists Announced for Wängl Tängl Exhibition
We’re really pleased to announced that Blaise Rosenthal, Mark ‘Fos’ Foster, Corey Smith, French and Schoph Schophield will be five of the ten internationally renowned skate and snowboard artists exhibiting at this year’s Vans Wängl Tängl.
Our show will kick off with an opening party at the resort’s renowned Europahaus gallery space on Tuesday 20th March, and will be open to everybody until Friday 23rd March.
The exhibition will feature a number of works from each of the ten artists, and the first five we’re announcing are:
COREY SMITH
Corey Smith is a painter, sculptor, photographer and snowboarder from Portland, Oregon. Snowboarding since 1995, Smith was a pro rider for many years, producing notable video parts while riding for Capita snowboards. Today, he continues to produce distinctive board graphics for the brand, as well as working as art director at COMUNE, and as a curator of the Drop City artist collective. Corey also founded Spring Break snowboards, a vehicle where his art & snowboarding collide through his unique handmade abstract wooden snowboards.
