It was high time we celebrated Mark’s arrival onto the hOme team. And what better format could we think of, other
than having fellow friend and team member Robjn Talyor direct and shoot a short film with him at home in Vancouver,
BC ? Faithful to the ol’ saying that one learns something new every day, here is Robjn’s take on the one piece
of knowledge Mark acquired as he got his first hOme watch. Enjoy!
“I’ve known the guys at hOme watches for so many years and it’s been awesome watching their company grow as my
career grew as well. It’s exciting that we’re now at the point where we can join forces and continue to move forward together. The hOme crew is an all-star list of good people so I feel very fortunate to be joining the team. Robjn Taylor who is a long term hOme advocate asked me to be a part of a short clip he was making as a “Welcome to the team, Mark”. We had a blast shooting this is in Vancouver BC, Canada and even more so it was an experience trying to act. Robjn and the rest of the hOme family are just the kind of people I like to work with so I can only expect good things in the future. It feels good to be hOme.” – Mark Sollors
“The original plan for this was that Ryan Gosling would play the role of Mark Sollors. We were to shoot Ryan in front of a green screen and then, using technology, we’d make it seem like the whole thing took place along the seawall in Vancouver’s Stanley Park. Sadly though, the green screen studio was double-booked, so we were forced to go and shoot along the actual seawall, outside in the sun with real rollerbladers and everything. Then, because of Ryan’s agoraphobia, we had to use actual Mark Sollors to play the character of Mark Sollors, which he was completely unprepared for, but which he tackled with inspiring enthusiasm. Before leaving, Ryan Gosling drank all the juice boxes on set. ” – Robjn Taylor
