Free headphones from WeSC

For the first time, WeSC is enlenghtening one of their campaigns onto the web-- their spring campaign, Let´s Get Physical. WeSC are challenging musiclovers everywhere to create a cover of the 1980s hit Physical, or create a totally new track inspired by the Superlative Conspiracy themselves.

The campaign will go live on the 20th of April at www.wesc.com/letsgetphysical and will be getting traffic from several marketing points, one being the website of Vice magazine.

When you reach the site, you will be given a chance to upload either a cover of the song Physical or a newproduction inspired by WeSC. Everyone that contributes gets a free pair of WeSC headphones.

"Of course it´s important that there´s good sound in your headphones, but we feel that it´s just as important that they look sweet, and the entire WeSC family can choose the headphoes that goes along with there lifestyle," says Greger Hagelin, CEO and founder of WeSC. "Many activists work with music and we want them to feel that they can use the WeSC headphones just as well at work like with the iPod on the subway. Our headphones are both fashion and tech."

The ten best contributors will be invited to London and the big WeSC party at Vicebar on June 3. WeSC activists and friends within the Superlatvie Conspiracy  will mingle, and there will be an exclusive performance by artists featured on the collective Let's Get Physical CD.

Winners will be selected by a jury consisting of special invitees from the music industry, together with WeSC and Vice. The jury will ground their descision on ranking and number of listenings.

Inspiration for this contest sprung out from the colletable CD, Let´s Get Physical, WeSC produced together with the spring campaign. On the record, 12 internationally known artists created their version of the song Physical -- Olivia Newton John's Billboard hit from 1981. The record touches all music genres -- it contains everything from rock to electro to rap.

Some of the artists that are on the record are: Swedish rapper Timbuktu, Chrods, Cat5, DJ Stretch Armstrong and Doomington, Swedish actor Peter Stormare with Blond From Fargo, The Glimmers, DJ Lisa Loud and more.

All of these artists will also be releasing music videos that can be viewed on YouTube, MySpace Video and Google video. Music from the album can also be bought at iTunes iStore.
