For those of you who live life on the edge, X-DANCE is truly THE destination for Action Sports filmmakers and athletes alike. The selection of LINES is a superb feat - as this year saw the highest amount of film submissions for the past 8 years. LINES will screen in Salt Lake City, Utah, January 19-23, 2008. Launched in 2001 and coinciding each year with the Sundance Film Festival, X-DANCE showcases the year's  top action sport films. Axel Pauporté, Producer of LINES said, "Thanks to this I think a lot more people will have a chance to see the film and will hopefully learn more about big mountain snowboarding which was my ultimate goal... Once again I would like to thank all the people who participated in this project and who believed in me, especially Billabong which has been supporting me for over 15 years now..." LINES is 85 minutes of pure snowboarding documentary brilliance. Prepare to be glued to your seats as director Flora Pauporté and producer, legendary freerider, Axel Pauporté invite people to learn more about Big Mountain Snowboarding. Axel explains; "today, big mountain snowboarding is not just a bunch of old guys doing mellow powder turns but young riders bringing freestyle into big line". This really does sum up the underlying theme of this awesome film. With archived footage dating back to 1981, Lines documents some of the most epic runs in snowboarding history. These include Noah Salasnek's undertaking of Super Spines, Dave Hatchett's Mendenhall Towers ride and some of today's hottest freestylers like Nicolas Muller, Wolle Nyvelt and Travis Rice.

This film gives you a real insight into the mind of a snowboarder; in their own words they explain what it takes to get the shot and how freestyle into the backcountry is the new rage! By following the Absinthe crew on their image quest during two months in Alaska and mixing it up with interview and anecdotes from the riders, Axel and Flora have managed to show on film what big mountain riding is all about: the essence of snowboarding! "This movie is a must see for anyone who considers themselves a snowboarder. It is one of the best snowboard films I've watched!" (Future Snowboarding Magazine) LINES has been produced by Quinta Films and Billabong , in collaboration with Absinthe Films.
