MOG in IBK

The night before the longest day of the year saw this season's first snowboard premiere go down in Innbsruck. MOG Productions did not waste any time in serving up their new flick Manglo Moves months before anyone other movie is released. Some production companies haven't even put out their teasers yet! 

MOG Productions is a crew that consists of few local heroes Tyroling their way out of Austria, including Sebi Geiger, Pati Tilg, Macho Much, Falkeis Stefan, Grumser Steve, Schatz Michi, Wuule Wanner, Dominik Brunner, Hörhager Thomas, Julia Baumgartner, Stephan Wimmer and friends of MOG. Overseen by main filmer Martin Venier and without much funding or sponsors, they made their movie the old-fashioned way. No one bought their spots, no contracts were signed, no money was traded to get anyone on the rider roster. Plain and simple, it's a bunch of homies that ride together that weren't about to wait around for someone to make a movie for them so they pumped one out themselves. The skimpy budget bag didn't stop them from getting international shooting done with locations in Colorado, New York, Canada, and plenty of Austrian spots.

It was curiously refreshing to see people ride winter carbonara on screen while we replenished profusely lost sweat from muggy summer heat with "grosse gertrankes". Once the video jumped on the wall around midnight, I was greeted with dunken "whooooraaaaas!" and we were in for a good half-hour of slashing, smashing and crashing. This hungry squad is definitely full of heart and are ready to chuck their carcasses around and don't let the bruises slow them down. A pretty epic bail section had everyone cringing, especially Flo's rib popper, check the film you'll see what I mean. The movie closed out cordially with "Ladies Last" and Julia Baumgartner putting up a heavy section before the curtains dropped.

The night raged on, smiles were plastered on everyone's faces as the music thumped and goodies were given away. This litttle crew is making big things happen, so do yourself a favor and check out Manglo Moves. As for all the other video premieres, go back to sleep and we'll wake you up in a few months when they're ready. GO MOG!
