Alvaro Blogel: My New Friend Holga

Alvaro-VogelBLOG.jpg

Hiiiii there,

This winter I bought a Holga a medium format, inexpensive, analog camera. I had a lot of fun framing landscapes, friends and unforgettable moments. Taking pics with an analog camera is totally different from taking pics with a digi cam; I think a lot more before shooting and you can’t see the result right after; because of that every picture has more feelings behind it.

During the summer time I finally had time to develop/scan a couple of films. My friend and photo dawg (and METHOD senior photog) Carlos Blanchard took some of his precious time to help me out and gave me some advice. I was really excited to see the result and to be honest I had no big expectations.

To conclude I really like to shoot with my Holga and I really like the effect you can get with it.

Check out some of my pictures:
