Munich, ispo, February 7-10, 2010, Hall A1 booth 222
The board_ispo shop summit at the world’s biggest winter sports fair, ispo, serves as a platform for all snowboard retailers. The intention of the brand-neutral booth is the support and building of a network between snowboard retailers. In doing so ispo is offering the shop owners not only interesting information and advice but also possibilities to share contacts and knowledge that will strengthen their everyday business.
Other highlights of the shop summit 2010 include the presentation of the ispo Boardsports Awards as well as free services like the Boardsport SOURCE Job Agency and an extensive Meet & Greet Area with a bar and lounge. Brand new at ispo 2010 is the introduction of the New Blood Activists: individuals, companies or organisations that strive to get more people involved in snowboarding and its lifestyle through their projects.
Information area ‘MODERN SHOP STRATEGIES’
As a result of last year’s positive feedback, the shop summit will again mainly focus on ‘MODERN SHOP STRATEGIES’ that provide new shop owners, as well as experienced retail veterans, with important information for successful business strategies. Helpful documents, new ideas and inspiration for improving shop performance will be available in the information area. Additionally, an expert will be on hand each day to answer the retailers’ individual questions with his or her excellent knowledge and long-time experience.
For the shop summit 2010 last year’s information cards have been changed into an Extension Pack that covers relevant topics like marketing through Facebook or twitter and other interesting points.

New Blood Activists
Of course the so called „Activists“ should never be missed out at shop summit. This year people and organizations who are putting effort in bringing new faces to snowboarding will be featured. As well as those ones who are taking care that the old faces will not change to skiing any more... Therefore events such as the Longboard Classic - Stuben, the World Snowboard Day, Blue Tomato with their Kids Snowboard Day, the WSF with their Adaptive Snowboarding Program as well as Art on Snow – Kleinwalsertal are presenting their projects. „Art on Snow“ will be at the booth with two Munich artists Beastiestylez und I ARE UGLY and they will do some life painting of snowboards there.
