Protest Blog: Argentera

After checking internet forecasts we are back in Argentera! Can’t believe it and neither did the staff at Draco Verde hotel in Argentera when we checked in again. “Those guys again?!”, they must have said in italian! But they must be happy since it was closed because there where no guests to fill any rooms. It was snowing last night already and it feels so right.

We woke up early and went to the lift but it wasn’t open! It had snowed pretty good over night and still continuing so we were bummed. No one there and bad weather so they decided not to open the pow paradise. We jumped in to the car and drove over an hour to Limone to find that it had really dumped! It was waist deep and bottomless in some places with almost METER of fresh!! We couldn’t believe it again. Snow definitely didn’t abandon us. We went away from the Alps just to come back and find the best snow of the season. Only few lifts were open because of the avalanche danger but rode under one steeper lift basically the whole day with only two of us. Amazed again.

Tomorrow Argentera should be open and we will hit the our favorite untracked tree runs again and again.
