After the week I spent with Red Bull’s stars and bunch of newcomers, I was invited at the Red Bull Performance Camp, I joined a group of Frenchies which migrates to New Zealand for a month to ride while other people take advantage of summer back home. It’s always a pleasure to meet up again with all my friends from the “A Branler Crew” (easy style crew). Everything was running smooth until we went to the supermarket. I tried to get some cash from the ATM, but my card decided to split up with me and preferred to stay with the ATM for no reason. I was in NZ with no money and I couldn’t get my credit card back because in NZ they destroy the cards when this happens. After that, I’ve decided to take all the money from my friends to stay alive specially from Victor Delerue and Daviet (I swear I’ll get you the money back next time brothers). A great news never coming alone, I am anxious to thank Victor Delerue who gave us scabies. So we had to wash everything in the house from top to bottom, it was really long and boring. No worries girls, I am cured and clean again héhé!

Respect gets Respect
So, after all this misadventures, I am finally going to talk about snowboarding. Our program began every morning where we’ve decided to go to snowpark NZ (one lift only but a huge jib zone, line of kickers, half pipe and big step up) or to go ride ine cardrona (a ski resort who looks like more than we can see usually in the alps, with real slopes and an “heavy metal” park. Along with both Victors, it was really fun to ride with other good riders like Arthur Longo, Valérian Ducourtil, Ben Thomas Javid etc… Everybody gave advices to each other to push our limits with AB ( à branler = easy going style) spirit.

Into The Wild
One day, in spite of the bad weather, we decided anyway to give a try to Snowpark NZ. During the last run, the fog went away and sun came out, we had the kickers for ourselves and they were perfects as no one hit them till then. As he result we had an amazing session during which we hiked up to the top after every run, we had the resort by ourselves under the sun. The session got event more memorable as I landed three 900° that session. Unfortunately, bad weather came in the next day and decided to stick in NZ for a while. So one day, we decided to go to a paintball with all the French skiers. It was really funny, always cool to do a break between long days in the row of riding. I learn from that day something I will share with you, here is my advice, never pick Victor Daviet in your team as the man can shot a his own team-mate during a game, my ass still remembers it.

I was going to forget an essential thing, NZ was the beginning of a great career for me as automobile driver, and despite my hurt bottom I want to thank my copilot and also my coach Victor Daviet on that learning how to drive mission.
Bungeeeeeeeeeee!
All in all, I had a lot of fun despite all the misadventures that happens to me, I learnt some new tricks and spread the AB spirit in NZ which is the most important thing. After a really long travel and stress moment such as the big emergency landing in a sketchy style airport near Bangkok, I finally reached home. Right now, I am taking advantage of all the pleasure of summer before going back to school.
