Like last year we were trying to use our local knowledge. Dani
Buman, who lives in wallis, a narrow Swiss valley, invited us
to hang out at his place. His aunt had a hut in the old part of
the little town Natters, where we were able to stay for a week.
The crew was Hannes Metzler, Chandu Capin, Marko Grilc and Bümi
of course. The snow conditions were quite nice and we found spots
just next to the road. We built a kicker that worked out nice
as long as you got the speed for it. Hannes pushed it to the limit
and stomped sick bs5 nose grabs.
Bümi knows his valley like his pockets and showed us some
sweet rails in his hometown. That was the first time, that I could
use my external flash units so it was pretty exiting for me...check
out the results below.
One day we made one of my dreams come true. We went to the school
that I had to sit in for quite a few years. In front of that building
is a sick ledge that I have been looking at every day while walking
up the stairs. 2 years ago I've seen a single shot of a skater doing
a nose slide on the top ledge that was published in Transworld skate.
When Hannes Metzler took a look at it in beginning of February he
decided to take the 2 and a half-meter gap between the ledges as
well. For sure a lot of people had thought about it, but actually
trying it is something completely different. Hannes broke the nose
of his board at the first try because of detonating in the concrete
wall of the second ledge. He tried and landed the second try...I
give him a lot of respect for that.
why just a single shot? You don't believe me? Watch Pirate Radio
