Xindia (vorarlberg), the most western part of Austria is divided in 2 big valleys and quite a few smaller ones. The little village where Gigi lives is in the last corner of the Bregenzer Wald that is connected to the pure valley (Rheintal), where I live, over a pass called Furkapass. It's closed in winter, but Gigi and me know it from the summer time, where we got to drive over it when we chill together.

This winter we decided to hike up to the pass and try to get some shots. Marco came with us to ride and Leini, a good friend and filmer followed us with his super8 camera. It was a 2 hours hike through the woods, in beautiful untouched nature before we came up to the big bowl, where we saw a lot of nice spots, that never had been touched by a board...

On a normal day, where you shoot, there's not that much time to enjoy the environment and life the essential moment of snowboarding. But on that day, we just did it. We also found a funny double line with 2 little hits that turned out to be the shit! Gigi and Marco did combos like on AMPED, easy style...
