Erin Hogue Wins X Games Gold Photography Award

Congratulations to Whistler-based photographer, Erin Hogue, who won the X Games Gold as part of X Games' Zoom Photography contest.

X Games Zoom contest is a bi-annual photography contest celebrating the best in action sports photography. Each month, XGames.com selects 10 of the best photos submitted by the worlds top photographers in BMX, skateboard, freeski, snowboard, surf and mountain biking and displays them in a curated digital ZOOM gallery online.

Erin Hogue’s photograph is a sick shot of Charles Reid taken in Whistler B.C. “This frozen waterfall sits at the top of a massive hill that is so steep snowmobiles can’t drive up it. I have wanted to shoot this spot for years but most riders aren’t into the hike. It took almost an hour of boot packing straight up in waist deep snow with all my camera gear to get to this spot." – Erin Hogue

Erin has also kicked off another winter shooting with Absinthe Films out in Alaska and has been kind enough to document her travels and photo shoots in some of the most hostile and hard to reach place on earth via video edits. Check out her latest episodes below.
