From March 28th to 30th 2014 the Snake & Hammers at Silvretta Montafon seeks the snowboarder with the best overall-skills for the second time. The unique snowboard contest invites amateurs to compete with local heroes, snowboard legends and current pros, who all have to master timed as well as obstacle judging on a one-of-a-kind banked slopestyle course. Although fun comes first at the end of the season even for the pros, a prize purse of $ 8,000 will surely attract some big names to the Nike Snowpark Montafon.
At the end of March, Nike Snowboarding presents the banked slopestyle event Snake & Hammers for the second time. The playful course combines the characteristics of a traditional banked slalom with the features of a slopestyle event. Competitors will snake through the banks and throw down the hammers on the obstacles spread over the course, requiring speed as well as style from March 28th to 30th 2014 at this unique snowboard contest. The snowboarder with the best combination of speed and style has the chance to take home the biggest part of the $ 8,000 prize purse. But it’s not only the banked slopestyle course that makes Snake & Hammers so unique: no other contest gives amateurs the chance to start with and against local heroes, legends and current pros in such a relaxed atmosphere. Who knows, maybe a no-name will snake by one of the Nike teamrider and show him where the hammer hangs.
