The GB Park & Pipe team, even though from a country with very little mountainous terrain and even less snow fall, they have been making a strong name for themselves and of recently been climbing upon podiums worldwide. This can be credited for one the talented group of riders that make up the team but also a really strong support team.
Even though these national teams can seem like a bit of an over competitive, fun draining, way to be envolved in snowboarding the GB Park & Pipe Team are aiming to connect with anyone who loves to snowboard and the message is Fun, Collaboration, Passion and Progression and they aim to achieve this with the help of the hashtag #lovesnowboarding.
They know that often the ‘Olympic story’ reaches a different audience than the core story but often that audience is made up of the young kids who really look up to the riders in the contests and they want to promote these GB Park & Pipe riders as icons.
The GB Park & Pipe athletes are in the position to try and promote themselves in an authentic and credible way, which is a new thing for a national team. The team love snowboarding and this goes well beyond the competitions they choose to ride in. They also want to connect with and inspire others to get out there and have fun on a snowboard, to have fun with friends and to challenge what is possible. #LOVESNOWBOARDING
