We've been waiting on this one for a while. Coming into their first winter season the boys over at FAM Clothing have had a fairly testing time with their suppliers. But things are well underway now, they've got all their stock and the results are looking pretty tasty. It's no easy feat to enter the streetwear game in London, there are new brands popping up all the time from the corners of every rapidly gentrified borough.
The difference is that FAM has taken inspiration from the current trends and applied them to some super technical garments that will work from street to peak. Garments that can hold their own and keep you looking clean and stylish on a city break, and good enough for multiple days on the hill.
Trends in snowboarding take quite a bit of time to manifest, but it's basically a cycle. Baggy to skinny, in a way. Where FAM has positioned itself is smack bang in the middle, creating timeless pieces that will look great over multiple seasons. Classic cuts and styles throughout the entire range.
The standout piece from the first collection has to be the Blackout Jacket. It's a regular fit, classic fishtail parker cut jacket, and is fully tapered for greater waterproofing. It's got 5K waterproofing and 5K breathability to keep you warm and dry, along with YKK zips and fully tapered seams to stop any hint of a wind chill.
Other features include the removable snow skirt and hand gates. Perfect for keeping the snow out when you're laying into a massive slash, but won't get in the way when you want to wear the jacket on super cold days in the city. The pockets are fleece lined too, so you can beat the cold when you're not wearing gloves. Tie all that in with the popper goggles fastener on the chest, media pocket and a subtle lift pass pocket on the sleeve, this Blackout Jacket will make a clean and stylish addition to your winter wardrobe.
As FAM's first ever jacket, this is a limited edition piece. In celebration of our launch, only 100 of each colour has been made in this style. The jacket also has a limited edition print on the inside.
