Voelkl Vice SQD 2013

Here is another mean trick stick built by Voelkl without being too mean to Gaia aka planet earth. This artful Voelkl Vice SQD deck is worthy of being hung on gallery walls, but more importantly is the eco-friendly material this board is made from without sacrificing quality. You're basically riding last week's trash reshaped into a snowboard. I know what you are thinking. "Oh god, here we go, some more pontificating from a whale humper..." But hang on, just gimme a minute here. Check out this animation by Steve Cutts as a reminder that humping whales isn't entirely a bad thing. Also, the trash problem hasn't gone away and we need your efforts more than ever or you can just get squashed by the aliens…

So, getting back to the point, namely the Voelkl Vice SQD and some of the reasons why you should consider strapping one on this winter! The top sheet is made from canvas and Jah's fiber aka Hemp, which not only give it an amazing, unique texture, it also literally becomes a canvas for the amazing artwork on this deck. The sintered base is made of recycled bottles and other plastic crap that won't go into man's massive overflowing litter box, the recycled steel edges are made from perhaps an old washing maching and a finish of biodegradable wax to prove that the green consciousness doesn't end at the topsheet.

As for the actual riding, the  Squad series rocks a True Twin-Tip Sidecut that will be enable to work on your switch game with ease. The Freestyle Rocker Shape will keep your boat afloat when sending it deep into powder and also catch-free all day in the park. The Premium Carbon Weave makes sure this noodle never goes limp, offering some al dente pop action and the Integrated Shock Absorber and V-Flex fiberglass will help you put down your landing gear and ride away with ease on all your kicker runways. All this while also taking away from man's huge trash pile, and adding less to it!
