Piece Of Cake Recap

Few weeks ago, Scandinavia's biggest women-only snowboard competition by the name 'Piece of Cake' was held in Åre Ambilight Snowpark. With a stunning blue bird and spring sun, this had to be a good day. 23 girls from all over Scandinavia came to battle it out and the level of riding was high as the sky. Girls were so stoked already on the training day, trying new tricks and having fun riding with each other.

You could really tell that the level of riding had risen a lot from 2014. Progression of women snowboarding is massive right now! It was also obvious how the girls enjoyed pushing one and other rather than competing against each other. Riders were having huge smiles on their faces and really redoing their limits to make this day even better. Our Photographers and filmers covered the whole park all day making sure that the girls got the attention they deserved. This day women ruled the park and we could simply see that they were loving it!

Finals were amazing, Ingrid lonar and Malin Johansson who finished respectively second and third were giving a good challenge for the winner, but in the end last years third Sisi cavretti took home the biggest prize. She took the first place with an impressive run by starting of with a huge fs 720, followed by a fs rodeo 540 and heading to the railpart with a cab 720. Last years winner Cecilia larsen ended up on fourth place just before Laax ripper Louise Nordström.

After the action in the park riders and event crew gathered at the nightclub Dahlbom for a nice dinner together. At the price ceremony even the organizers got a prize from all the riders and as eryone was stoked and happy, the party was ready to start! And with some sick breakdance battles the night was absolutely one to remember!
Rumours says that even the afterparty went crazy. Involving some acrobatic moves and a concusion on the floor with the Piece of cake trophy.
