When snowboard-pros Marc Swoboda (AUT), Marko Grilc (SLO) and Wojtek Pawlusiak (POL) will each lead a team of 3 riders and battle to produce the best 3-minute clip at the Red Bull Shr3d from January 23rd to 25th, the 3×3 of snowboarding has to be recalculated.
Amateurs from Austria, Slovenia and Poland can apply now till January, 8th 2013 to get one of the coveted grids in one of the three teams.
"3 is the magic number" – not only since Da La Soul’s hit in 1989. As long as anyone can remember the number three has a special, if not a magical meaning in religion, mythology, economy and even in the carnival. So why not in snowboarding as well? At the Red Bull Shr3d everything’s about the magic number of three: 3 teams from 3 countries with 3 riders each have 3 days time to produce a 3-minute snowboard-clip.
Amateurs will have the chance to ride with their heroes at the Red Bull Shr3d. Austrian stylemaster Marc Swodoba, Air&Style winner Marko Grilc from Slovenia and the king of all rails, polish Wojtek Pawlusiak will each lead two fellow-rookie-shr3dders as team-captains and bring out the best of their skills, their style and their creativity to capture it all on film.
The more creative your clip and the more stylish your riding, the better your chances will be to join Marc, Marco or Wojtek as a team member at the Red Bull Shr3d at the Kitzsteinhorn.
As the Red Bull Shr3d is a 3-country-battle, the participating amateurs must have their residence just as the three set riders in Austria, Slovenia or Poland. To take part in the Red Bull Shr3d, riders must be at least 14 years old.
