METHOD Mag and the Gasthof-Zillertal present the SHOOT YOUR FRIENDS Video Competition in Zillertal, Austria. This is how it goes down:
Get 3 of your friends to form a team of 4 riders (filmer included). Get a camera, any camera, your GoPro, your HVX or your father’s 8mm, whatever. Come up with a stupid team name. Send your info to [email protected]
Every Sunday night weekly assignments/challenges to be included in your 3-minute final edit will be announced for the next 6 weeks in the News section on Methodmag.com. Shoot your friends over the 6-week period and at the end you'll have to edit your footage down to 3 minutes to some amazing music. Then come down to Gasthof-Zillertal in Maryhofen on April the 10th with your final edit for the screening party. Win the competition and receive that huge prize pile (the full prize list will be announced in future posts).
FIRST MISSION (week 1): Include in your edit a mini jib session with beer crates or kegs. See how many beer crates you can ollie, turn yourself into a human bowling ball, do whatever, just get creative! So go ask politely from your favorite watering hole in town or just steal that shit from that bar that sucks! Have fun and don't get caught!
SECOND MISSION (week 2): This week will be park week.
- Use the whole team for a relay race, each rider hit a feature and passing the baton off to a teammate to progress to the next feature, no bails! Only clean, smooth runs please!
- Hit a feature the wrong way, i.e find new transitions, 360 bonk a down rail, etc...
- Synchronized doubles riding, like synchronized swimming, but the snowboard version. Think side to side back 3’s or tandem front boards, etc.
THIRD MISSION (week 3): As Transform Gloves rider Joonas Mustonen is not here this season, we would like you to pay homage to him in your video task this week. To show your respect we would like you to go to the park in the skinniest jeans possible with a moustache drawn in permanent marker and do the biggest tweaks you can. Extra points will be rewarded for crail grabs!
FOURTH MISSION (week 4): So They say this coming week will be no snow and we need some as you can see on the slopes. Green and Brown is more common than the white stuff at the moment. Lets take advantage of that and show us your sickest trick over the biggest grass gap you can find. ENJOY!
FIFTH MISSION (week5): The Valley just got hit with a storm. So get up past those trees and get some POWDER!
SIXTH MISSION (week 6): Yes, we've come down to the last assignment! By now there will be some tricks gone bad, so show us your nicest slams. Further on we would like you to include all the logo’s of the sponsors in your final edit. On Wednesday the 10th of April we would like you and your team to come down to Gastof-Zillertal to show your final edit. There the crowd and a professional jury will choose the winner. We would like to thank the sponsors who gave some nice goods for the winning team.

WESTBEACH: gave a huge box with outerwear, tees ,sweats, jackets, the works.
