This year's edition of Frontline RailJam will be held on Saturday of 14 October in Stockholm, Sweden.
Since last years great success we are proud to present the plans for this year's even bigger and more improved RailJam.
History and facts
The location of the RailJam is the most central square of Stockholm ("Sergelstorg") right by the central station where on an average Saturday at least a 100.000 people pass by giving a huge footfall who instantly see the branding we build around the event. Of this we have a crowd who watch the event fully of around 2000 people.
This year we will also build up an audience platform which will allow even more crowd to watch in comfort.
As riders last year go we invited some of the best rail riders in Scandinavia such as: Hans Ã...hlund, Fredu Sirviö, Nicky Wieveg, Danny Larsen, Ronny Anderson, Eirikur Helgason and so on...
After the railjam we sent out press releases about the event with an article and photos which got published on various homepages as: Transworld, Onboard, Pleasure, Transition, Tacky.se, Playboard and many more around the world and had an article written about it in Scandinavian magazine transition. This gave us a lot exposure and interest around Scandinavia, Europe and also further on for our event..
This year 2006
With the experience and the success from last year our focus is to make the event to one
of the biggest city rail comps in Europe by having
- The biggest name rail riders across Europe
- More Spectator Friendly
- Bigger Prize purse (4000 euros)
- More co-ordinated working with Brand partners
The format
The jam will be held on the afternoon with 2 jam qualification heats where the qualified riders will meet each other in the finals.
In the finals be rewarded with 50 euro bills for sick tricks that also gets the audience going and finally a winner will be crowned who will take home the rest of the prize purse. With this jam format the tempo of the riding will be flowing well and the audience will constantly be amused.
We are also planning on this stage to have a miniramp skateboard comp at the same time to give the competition the chance to grow even more and also get the skateboard scene there. This will also increase the audience and media interest.
The riders
As mentioned before we already have and are inviting the most known and skilled rail riders across Europe with names such as:
Hans Ã...hlund (swe), Fredu Sirviö (fin), Nicky Wieveg (swe), Eirikur Helgason (ice), Danny Larsen (nor), Kareem El Rafie (swe), Taylor Charlton (uk), Peter König (at), Dmitri Fessenco (rus), ErikBotner (nor), Reini Reisser (at), Ronny Anderson (swe), Ali Toppinen (fin), Risto Ruokola (fin), and so on.

On the evening and night we have rented a huge 3 floor nightclub in central Stockholm with 3 bars and 2 dance floors with room for 500 people. This is the same place where we had last years party with an huge success. This year we are planning an dinner at the place for all the riders and the sponsors. Later on the evening we will hold an movie premiere for the new Factor films movie "Over it" and also have life performances by bands and DJ's. All this for an complete day with an huge party to complete the whole event..
