A Whiteout Comrade update

After a weird season it's time for the Comrades to chill.

Danny Larsen finished off his season with a Pirates session at Folgefonna early May. He went strait home to some hectic weeks -- Studying for his school exams. Now that he's finished, Larson is off for a vacation to London with his girlfriend. The plan is to hook up with friends for some mellow riding at summer ski resorts Folgefonna and Stryn. In July, Larson starts filming his intro for a new part in next year's movie from Pirates production. This coming season, Danny plans to start early with a trip to New Zealand at the end of the summer.

Fredu Sirvio has also wrapped up the season with a final camping session in the bushes of Whistler with the Step Child crew. He headed back to Finland just over a week a go and has spent his free time fishing with his friends and filmer Ilari in the north of Finland. Sirvio is now back in Helsinki and getting ready for a knee operation after a small injury at Whistler Mountain. Nothing serious, but the summer snow will have to wait to next year.

Martin Sandberg has been on a two-week vacation with friends in the States. The last week was, not surprisingly, spent in Las Vegas gambling. Like many other snowboarders, Sandberg has started a side carrier as a poker player. He is now back home in Sweden were golf is the main event.

Christian Halland is back from Switzerland. There he has been filming his intro to the new movie from MMP production. At the end of May, Halland worked as a stunt double for the leading character Mikkel in a Norwegian snowboard fiction called Switch. He had to stunt back flips over a 27-meter long jump. He also plays himself in the movie's snowboard competition -- the highlight of the movie. The movie is planed to premier October this year. Later this summer the plan is to go to Argentina for some late filming and surfing.

Julian Karlsen left for a vacation with his mates to Spain, spending most of the time in bars and cruzing the beach. The rest off the summer is dedicated to music festivals, starting with the annual Roskilde Festival.
