Nidecker's wood welding" - technology earned EUROSIMA 2007 innovation prize

WOOD WELDING PRESS RELEASE:
Nidecker continues to press on with its quest to be the most technologically advanced board company by unveiling its  "wood welding"  Technology that has just been awarded the EUROSIMA 2007 SNOWBOARD TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION PRIZE at the recent Waterman's Ball in Hossegor, where over 400 industry leaders gathered for the annual fund raising event on the beautiful south west coast of France.

Nidecker is extremely pleased with the debut of their new technology "Wood" Welding at the ISPO and  SIA tradeshows. These innovations have now been validated by leading industry engineers.

Wood welding bonds the wood core of the snowboard together without the use of resins or glues. This process not only reduces the weight of the
snowboard but also reduces the use of harmful resins in the production process (hello, global warming?). The end result is the Ultralight, a board with a wood welded core and a full carbon top sheet that weighs less than both Burton 's Vapor and Elan's Inverse at 163 cm in length.

Nidecker is Europe's oldest snowboard manufacturer producing snowboards since 1984. Nidecker is on the leading edge of technology with innovations such as: Wood Welding, Freeflex, Ultimate Grip, as well as numerous patents on both boot and binding innovations.
