Aesthetiker & Voelkl teach kid's home to ride

Rebel Media and the Aesthetiker crew came up with the idea to collect money for young snowboarders by living in "Bubenburg" a children's home in Fuegen / Zillertal (Austria). The project was called Smiling Kids and aimed at raising funds through sponsors and giving the kids the experience of snowboarding through instruction.

Sales from sponsored Cahartt jackets was just some of the funds aimed to help organize a weekend at the Hintertuxer glacier. Ten kids from the children's home were motivated to participate and get professionally coached by the Aesthetikers. No doubt nine hours of snowboarding a day last weekend was really exhausting for everyone...

The achievement: on the last day everyone was able to ride down the steepest hill on the glacier, and the more advanced riders were pulled some new tricks.  Mission accomplished.

Special thanks go to Zillertaler Bergbahnen, Spanagel Hut, The Seeker Snowboardshop. Also to K2, Voelkl, Forum, Red and Vans who supported the "Smiling Kids" campaign with appropriate snowboard-gear and made sure the Snowboard-stock of the children's home is well equipped with new gear.
