"It was one of the worst winters in many years, so we had to go looking for fresh features instead of having the Arlberg simply give it to us, as usual. Andres Riviello aka Mr HML, Alex Fischer aka The Wookie and I were out in the backcountry scouting and we found this rock feature, which you can't see in the shot itself, but it was loaded with snow. Alex started digging and we watched him - best not to interfere with the Wookie, he loves to dig - transform it into a massive hip. We spent the afternoon blasting it and getting shots. Even though it was a terrible winter last year, we never would have found this place and the vast studio located around it without such a bad season."
