Artec is excited to announce the results of our 4th Artec Snowboards
design contest presented by Sony Playstation. As in years past, the
submissions we received were original, inspirational and a sign of
the creativity that is inherent in the imaginations of snowboarders
everywhere.
This year, with the stakes higher than ever before, we received the greatest number of entries since the inception of Artec Blueprint and the design contest. In addition to a one of a kind custom Artec snowboard featuring the winning art, our first place finisher receives a Sony PlayStation® Portable (PSP) set, including the PSP Slim & Lite and the futuristic racing game, WipEout Pulse and the PSP accessory called the Sony Go!Cam.
Our 2nd and 3rd place finishers will be receiving prizes including the Artec Team Snowboard and Sony PSP giveaways. The top 10 designs will all be exhibited in the Art Gallery at the Artec Snowboards booth at Ispo Winter 08 (Booth A1.318/219).
On to the winners... After reviewing this impressive field of entries, our panel of team riders and Artec creative personal awarded Philipp Uhlig from Germany first place, making him the proud owner of a unique snowboard featuring his very own creative work. Lorenzo Quintanilla of the Netherlands and Octavio Gomez of Spain took 2nd and 3rd place respectively.
As the desire for individuality in snowboarding increases, Artec Blueprint continues to provide the opportunity for creative shredders
to further express themselves by combining their art with Artec's
superior performance and construction characteristics. We have made more shapes available including twin tip freestyle, and women's specific designs to maximize customization potential.
For the first time ever we have also provided downloadable graphic elements that can be used alone or in conjunction with personal designs to make the whole process even more user friendly. Visit www.artecsnowboards.com and create your masterpiece.
