BURTON AM TOUR 2006/07
INNSBRUCK, AUT (Sept. 11, 2006)
After a successful kick-off last year, Burton is proud to announce the dates for the Burton AM Tour 2006/07.
This tour is the place to go for all amateur riders out there, for all of you who are dreaming of becoming a professional snowboarder one day. This is your chance! Show your skills, and not only try to win the
Burton AM Tour Champion title, but also collect points for the TTR World Ranking system to be listed on the same ranking that your heroes are on (www.ttrworldtour.com).
The Burton AM Tour will start in October 2006 and continues until the end of April 2007. All in all the tour combines 18 tour stops in 15 European countries, also including countries like Latvia, Estonia and
Bulgaria. All riders born in 1987 and younger are allowed to participate.
We are proud to announce that for the first time Nixon is part of the Burton AM Tour as main sponsor and is also offering an award for the overall standout rider of each event: "Nixon is constantly involved
in the Surf, Skate, Snow events and for us to have an opportunity to work with THE snowboard company is great. Supporting grass root events has always been one of Nixon's key things and what
better company to work together with than Burton." Henning Erlandsen, General Manager Nixon Europe
Ivar Fougstedt, Burton Europe's Marketing Director, has the following to say: "At Burton we are happy to see that last year's start of the Burton AM Tour was such a success and it proves to us the kids out there want exactly what this tour offers them. And Burton wants to offer them the platform to grow as riders. Also Nixon's involvement shows the importance of this grass-roots event series and we are
proud to partner up with them for the AM Tour!"
