Dekker Olifanta B.V. in Warmond, supplier of the International brand Protest, celebrates this year her 25th anniversary. This was widely celebrated during a large Jubilee party on the beach of Zandvoort, the Netherlands. The party took place on the 12th of July and included national and international guests. Many clients and personnel were present, together with some people from the press.
The day started with a beach-volleyball tournament and due to the fact that the weather was great many people joined the competition enthusiastically. The volleyball tournament ended with the distribution of prizes and a Barbeque. However, the biggest price still had to be handed over...
Next to the Jubilee Party, Protest decided to support a good cause, namely War Child. War Child is a network of independent organisations that are working across the world to help children affected by war. Through creative and sports activities the children learn to play again and express their emotions. Because Protest finds its roots in sports, coming from snowboarding but nowadays also wakeboarding, kite surfing and surfing, the use of sports in the War Child projects correspond to the Protest philosophy.
To support War Child, Protest designed a Limited Edition winter jacket where a huge margin of the sales will go to War Child. The action was very successful and after the BBQ a cheque worth € 30.000 was handed over to War Child Holland.
With the approaching sunset as background, the people gathered round a large platform to enjoy the Protest Fashion Show with the new summer collection 2007. The Fashion Show was very entertaining with a Brazilian band and capoeira dancers. Next to that, some of the Protest Riders were also used as a model and experienced their first steps on the catwalk!
After the fashion show, DJ Melinda got the party started and she was followed up by the band "Sonny's Inc" to dance the night away!
