A mass of Norwegian spectators witnessed another groundbreaking day in snowboarding at the TTR FIVE(5)STAR Oakley Arctic Challenge 2007. In a Super Final consisting of only American and Norwegian riders, the two nations battled out against each other for the win.
It was Kevin Pearce (USA) who showed the most amplitude and trick variety to claim the title ahead of local superstar Henning Marthinsen (NOR) and third place winner Pat Moore (USA). Jake Blauvelt (USA) took home the "Highest Air of the Day" title with an impressive 9.4m backside air, just short of the new World record set by legendary Terje Haakonsen (NOR) yesterday.
His 1st place win today means Kevin Pearce (USA) is now leading the TTR World Tour Ranking List presented by Swatch, with Iouri Podladtchikov (RUS) at World Nr 2 and Henning Marthinsen (NOR) the new TTR World Nr 3.
