From the words of Stu himself... "The title “Idiosyncrasies” to me represents all the weird little things we each do when filming, that readjustment of your pants as you drop, that final board line you pat on the takeoff, or that “right here” that you say as you drop to try convince yourself that this try is „the one“ and in some way different to the last 50 tries. I love these weird and wonderful routines and quirks we all have - that only increase in the stressful and often scary situations we put ourselves in when filming. 

I’ve always admired the older videos where riders had jump and rail shots in their part so this 2022/23 season I set out wanting to make a part that showcased both these sides to snowboarding that I love and have put a lot of effort into. We didn’t have a heap of snow in Austria this season or any real budget for this project but I’m happy to show you this video that hopefully captures the fun of going out and venturing outside the park and trying to film with your friends. 

The powder shots in this video were filmed entirely in the wonderful Zillertal Valley in Austria which I now call home. The rail shots were squeezed in during a CTF team trip to the US and one last April dash to an Austrian classic spot."
