Lord Of The Ropes Year VII - Recap video

Luck might have been at play when Cole DiMeglio's name was drawn from the Chalice Of Souls and placed on the official bracket, but our newly crowned #LordOfTheRopes earned every bit of his new title

For its 7th year, #LOTR, the unrivaled snowboard bracket showdown of legend, unites 64 of the best midwest riders in a head to head winner take all celebration of boarding. It is truly anyones game as men and women, seasoned pros and hungry newcomers, duke it out in a peer judged one line, one chance opportunity at the $2K purse. This year, up and comer Devin Desean (who's injury kept him out of the event) was our special guest judge to round out the brutal decision making of each round.

For the first time in the event’s history, a worthy warrior battled their way out of the Chalice and onto the throne in a showdown for the ages. A final four that included two underdogs and two reigning champs had everyone on edge. Brackets were busted, jaws were dropped, and in the end, a wildly deserving human by the name of Cole DiMeglio beat out young gun Brandon Nesseth and walked away $2,000 richer.

Cheers to the midwest, to snowboarding, and to all of you that make it legendary
