Sending it for thirty years!

It was with this motto that Blue Tomato's 30th birthday was celebrated on 10 March, 2018 at Snowpark Obertauern (SPOT). With fun challenges and competitions, the first edition of 'The Backyard' was a great success. More than 350 guests, employees and team riders showed off their skills on the SPOT's newly extended special features, which include a snake run, bowl and multi-obstacle, all of which have been meticulously shaped. In the chill area, which boasts the best views of the park, guests cheered on the riders' performances while enjoying food & drinks or preparing themselves for the next run.

In addition to top-class music live acts (Kidd Salute, Pitchy & Scratchy), the programme included fun challenges, outstanding freestyle sessions and first-class burgers. For the King of the Mountain Challenge, snowboarders and freeskiers were pursued through the snake run and park with a full glass of beer. Anyone who reached the finishing line on time with most of their beer was declared king! For the Big Mouth Fun Challenge, participants were equipped with big mouth toys and sent through a specially prepared snake run. The motto here was Spin to Win! - the more turns made on the descent, the better. The programme was rounded off by other smaller challenges, including a freestyle session on the pyramid. The moderator was none other than long-term Blue Tomato partner and friend Martin Winchenbach (Go-Shred), who was with us throughout the day.
