Rail jams just went Godzilla! The Burton Rail Days event literally enlarged the definition of what an urban rail jam can be with one of the wildest set-ups seen yet. The best of the best rail gladiators were put on center stage in Tokyo last weekend to do battle. We flew our Method jet over, as usual, to get the inside scoop, hit the town with the boys and see this behemoth construction for ourselves. There was also a super legit livestream hosted by our friends Henry Jackson & T-Bird for all you poor people who don't have a private jet like us, which can still be watched right here or peep the recap presented by MINI below. Our adventure began at the kitty cafe. We basically had lunch with cats everywhere. Each one had their own mini apartment. Kitty kibble soup was on the menu. Flo Achenrainer, Jesse Augustinus and Denis Leontyev dug in! Yuma Abe aligning his mind, body and soul with the rail before the contest. We know these two lovers. Marc Swoboda & Dominik Wagner eating some morning muffins & coffee. We hit the streets to get lost in Tokyo. Here is Mark Sollors trying to take a photo and a shit at the same time. Flo Achenrainer got two covers out there this season, here he is trying to stack creativity points with a hand planter on his new Rough board. Ian Sams, I think. It would help if everyone wasn't wearing their khakis to the big show. See what I mean! Tommy Gesme wallride with khakis... Swoboda going for the big air approach at the rail jam. Denis going for that NBA steeze whilst enjoying the view during finals with Niels. Last chance for Yuma Abe in the finals, throwing up the 720 off. He didn't stick it but... ...the crowd loved it. Thanks for the show, Yuma! Flo & Jesse hooking up the finalists, Ian and Dylan, with the original energy drink aka a beer during finals. At this point Zak Hale already knew he had won. Big ol' back lip from the side for his victory stunt. He was unstoppable that day! Winner winner, chicken dinner, hi-fives, guy! Zak was ready to part-ay with some sake! You're welcome, Tokyo!
