The Deeluxe 9Six is a tribute to the first Deeluxe soft boot ever made. “96“ refers to the year the original boot was produced. If you're a snowboard boot born between the years of 1996 and 2015 then you might quite possibly be one of its illegitimate children.
The reissued 9SIX has a soft flex and is comfy as hell. Just like in life, in boot design it all comes down to being flexible. If you're unflexible, your girlfriend and your boss will soon enough ditch you only to replace you with that younger guy who's more handsome than you and who's been working at a Non-Profit for 2 years after doing a spiritual trip to India.
Personally I never quite understood why people would want to ride stiff boots, but then again I have never been into BDSM either. Of course, everyone should live their lives as they please, so all I'm trying to say right here is that this is not a hard boot. If you're looking for a mellow, flexy, and comfy boot suited for all kinds of jibbing and cruising then this is a great go-to slipper tho.
We did some intense field research in the streets and pow around our office and the 9SIX received a solid 2 out of 2 possible thumbs up. That's a 100% score in relative terms. The 9SIX is good fun and that's something you should go after, especially if you can get it without an ensuing 2-day-long hangover.
