SMACK DOWN IN THE JUNKYARD
The Junkyard in the City rail jam is on this weekend in Norway and things are starting to heat up. Twenty of the world’s best rail riders will battle it out in Oslo on the 3rd of December 2011, on the stairs of the main railway station in what is expected to be the largest snowboard rail jam in Scandinavia this year. Shit is going down!
Much like WWF wrestlers, who aim at eliminating their competitors by tossing them over the top rope of the ring, the snowboarders will battle it out throwing down their hammer tricks to advance into the next round. Winner is the last man standing. A Royal Rumble match normally consists of 20 entrants, same as the Junkyard contest. See, it's like wrasslin', fool!
This year the Junkyard crew invited some of the industry's heavy hitters to throw their meat down a sick set-up, including Eiki "The Junkyard Dog" Helgason, Ludwig "The Body" Lejkner, Stone Cold Toni Kerkela, Macho Man Mike Casanova, Hacksaw Wojtek Pawlusiak, Gulli "The Giant" Gudmundsson, Hans "The Undertaker"Ahlund, Marc"The Bossman" Swoboda, Dennis"The Hulk" Leontyev, Kalle "The Rock" Ohlsson and Dominik"The Hitman" Wagner.
There are going to be some fierce rivalries going down this weekend as they all battle it out for the $15,000 cash purse and to be crowned the Junkyard Champ. This competition is going to be rougher and tougher than trying to eat a loosely-wrapped kebab.
