Lukas Huffman's Movie Kickstarter Campaign

This news isn't technically about snowboarding, but it kind of is. You see, Lukas Huffman was one of the biggest names in the game back in the late 90's to early 00's, filming Mack Dawg video parts, traveling the world, fully living the dream. He even created, along with Jake Price, one of the raddest print/film projects in the history of snowboarding, entitled ir77. But one day Lukas decided to step away from pro riding and make a go of filmmaking. He moved to NYC, graduated from Columbia University film school and has been working as a filmmaker in Brooklyn for the past few years. This Kickstarter campaign is precisely about his new movie. When The Ocean Met The Sky is a feature film about brotherhood, hatred and friendship, from a new generation of filmmakers. I'll let Lukas take over from here:

"Hi, this is director Lukas Huffman, welcome to our Kickstarter campaign. 'When The Ocean Met The Sky' is an independently written and produced feature film. This warming, funny movie brings you into the life of three estranged brothers who go on a journey to a remote location in order to receive their inheritance. A map with an X leads them on one helluva a trek with their not-so-trusty tour guide. Along the way our brothers fight each other tooth and nail, are forced to help each other traverse the landscape, and ultimately learn to love each other - the only family they have left.

WE are creating a very raw and funny film that will frame family bonds in a rich honest way, challenging you to evaluate the relationships in your life.

A movie this emotionally authentic, and stylistically unique can't be made in Hollywood anymore. So we've turned to YOU, the film lovers of this world, for help."

Basically, the boys have whole movie financed already, they just need your help with the post production costs. By the way, Burton pro rider Mark Sollors is also involved in this project, as an executive producer. It will be shot in the British Columbian wilderness, so as you can see there is a big connection to our world there as well. Anyway, enough of my blabbing, go HERE to check out their Kickstarter page and help out a fellow snowboarder. Don't be shy, anything helps, even 5 bucks. They're shooting the movie as I type in BC, so let's help Lukas and his crew make this movie happen!

Here's the only Lukas full part I could find on the internet, can someone please put his Shakedown part on Youtube?!
Plus an interview with Luke and Minibike back from when they made ir77.
