Split into two categories, the Stairsmasters will give riders of all stripes a chance to strut their stuff in the heart of the city with a video clip of their own. Eight pro riders have been invited to take part in the challenge: Antonin Chamberland (Montréal, QC), Alexis Mailhot (Sherbrooke, QC), Mammouth Durette (Québec City, QC), Mark Goodall (Toronto, ON), Breadon Wheeler, (Whistler, BC), Shane Ruprecht (Annandale, MN), Aidan Flanagan (Minneapolis, MN), and Niels Schack (France). The rules haven’t changed: riders submit a 1-minute video filmed in an urban setting this season. Videos will then be judged by Québec riders from snowboard movie Déjà Vu, with $10,000 going to the overall winner in this category. The rider with the most #stairsmasters hashtags on social media will also win $1,000!

A category for everyone
Fans of urban freestyle will also be able to enter the Open category. They have until February 1, 2015, to send a 1-minute video to the organizing committee. Then social media will work its magic to determine the most popular videos, with the three videos receiving the most public support moving on to the final. The judges will determine an overall winner, who will be unveiled at the grand final and awarded $1,000. Details on how to enter are available at stairs.snowjamboree.com.
