It’s a sad moment to stand at the peak knowing your friends at the bottom possess half-ass knowledge about avalanche safety and consider it a good day when they find their dignity. As much as we want to believe in ye old faithful probe and beacon, we would rather designate plan A to Evoc’s Zip-On ABS and plan B to our apparent trustworthy friends.

If avalanche safety techniques don’t retain in your thick skull, there is a guideline within the pack.
When you need more space on the dance floor/in the gondola or if the unfortunate does actually occur, simply yank the trigger to activate two airbags to stay afloat and appeal that death wish of yours to ride another day.
Reminder: The ABS will significantly reduce the risk of being buried in an avalanche. That does, however, not mean that you'll be invincible. Xavier De Le Rue would rather invest in the ABS than a life insurance though.
