Sebastian Balser from Pirates Movie Production describes it: “Planning a snowboard movie with only two main riders is a pretty risky business. On the one hand it is always present that someone could get hurt. On the other hand, aiming for a 30-minute movie puts a lot of pressure on the riders as well, because normally they are used to film for their 3 - 5min video part. With Elias and Gigi being two of the most natural talented and experienced riders I know, we felt confident with our plan. Their riding is effortless, with style for miles and an eye for the terrain most can only dream of. At the same time both are very open minded, which is important for a project like this; they are open for new ideas, new approaches, new locations. And the outcome speaks for itself! Dakine rider Elias Elhardt adds: “While filming for this movie, we got to experience some very special days. The film season started with a super fun session, shredding through an abandoned medieval village in Italy, continued with a snorkelling trip through the Japanese backcountry and it ended with four amazing days in Alaska after a three week waiting period”.
