Less than two weeks after the last 30-something-degrees day in this hot summer Hintertux Glacier received half a meter of powder – just in time for the opening event of the year. The shapers have enough building material to turn everything from easy line to pro line into perfect shape.

The Betterpark in Hintertux has something for everyone: easy and medium line for freestyle rookies and advanced riders, jib line for jibbers and pro line for the experts. During the hotzone.tv Park Opening from 1 to 4 October all four lines are likely to be open. However, the Opening is not all about shredding deluxe and the popular snowboard test. The Opening will provide visitors with a sick schedule of side events: Things kick off on Thursday night with the Pre Opening Party at the PapperlaPUB in Hintertux. DJ BRX and Julle will be at the turntables and every other visitor will walk home with a nice tombola prize.

Friday night packs a punch: First, the video premiere of Absinthe’s new flick EVERSINCE will take place at the Tux Center in Tux/Lanersbach. Afterwards the crowd moves on to the Warm Up Parties, either at the Gletscherspalte or the Kleine Tenne. The Gletschersparte boasts two more video premieres: 686 SECONDS as well as DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS will entertain the Opening visitors. During and after the screenings DJ Saund will make sure to drop the right sounds. At the Shred Party at the Kleine Tenne DJs NLP, The Beatceps, SOCOM and Smoking Fingaz will spin the tunes and abuse the bass membranes till late.

Breaking news regarding the Aftershred Session at the Hintertux parking lot on Saturday: It is time to gamble! Visitors can win great prizes playing poker and roulette. A MotoX trial show and stands from various snowboard magazines will offer additional entertainment. And those eager to shake their legs on Saturday afternoon can do so at the Cruise and Ride After Snow Party at the Sommerberg Arena.
