Win AFM's Gear from Blue Tomato!

Snow and surf specialist Blue Tomato has reeled in the Swiss-French Freeride World Champion Anne-Flore Marxer. She is one of the best and influential female riders of the snowboarding circus, and now she is the newest member of the already high-profile Blue Tomato team.

Since her childhood, Anne-Flore has been addicted to the mountains, snow and snowboarding. What she now does professionally, she used to do first thing after school – run off to the mountains and ride. She loves the feeling of freedom, adventure, adrenaline and passion that the sport gives her. Her favorite thing to do is to travel around in a camper van with her fellow shred colleagues from spot to spot and enjoy the fun, feeling of family and the fresh POW!

Her victory at the World Freeride Tour 2011 put the cherry on top of Anne-Flore’s astonishing winter. Straight away she had a win at FWT Chamonix, placing podiums all winter and winning the legendary Xtreme Verbier. It is another title to add to her career’s accomplishments. Among those titles are “French Female Rider of the Year“ in 2010, “Best International Rider” at Le Mondial du Snowboard in 2008, second place at the election of the “Most Influential Female Rider of All Time“ by Slack Magazine and the “Rookie of the Year Award” by Transworld Magazine.

Despite her countless successes, the friendly hearted snowboarder prefers to go filming in the backcountry where she can go bigger and push her own limits with a long list of video parts. Besides a couple of Psykopit movie parts, Anomaly from TGR, or Travis Rice’s “Community Project”, we can also see her all female movies, in particular the opening part of Roshambo. Anne-Flore strongly believes that video projects such as Lipstick Productions are very important to the future of female snowboarding as they motivate younger girls to go out and shred.

Shooting in the backcountry the past years has gotten her a lot of international coverage with 20 covers and a long list of interviews in the core magazines. She earned more coverage than any other rider, both male and female, in Europe in 2010.

Blue Tomato team manager Vanessa Waldenhofer summarizes it perfectly: “I’m very pleased to have Anne-Flore Marxer on the team. She has been one of the best female snowboarders for many years and her Freeride World Champion title crowns her success. I have known Anne-Flore for several years now and I love her positive attitude and professionalism. With her open, charming character and her creative ideas, Anne-Flore is a perfect match for our company and I am confident that she will represent Blue Tomato very well!”

Anne-Flore is also happy about her new sponsor: “Blue Tomato is very active in the snowboarding scene, whether it’s with their team, events, filming, etc. and I can find all the stuff I like in their online shop! It’s really cool for me to be supported by such a fun and motivated team! I’m very happy to be a part of it!”

A further addition to the snowboarding team is Adam Granqvist. The young Swede will be joining a row of other great shredders such as Marc Swoboda, Eiki und Halldor Helgason, Ville Uotila, Phips Gruber, Herby Thaler and Kareem El Rafie, who represent the Blue Tomato Team.
