The newest addition to the Burton EU Team is none other than the 26-year-old Ylfa Rúnarsdóttir, who you should know from banger part from movies like The Uninvited and The Uninvited II. The Iceland-born, Sweden-living jibber represents female snowboarding at its best where we don’t see it often enough yet – in the streets. Check out a quick intro interview with Ylfa below.
For those who don't know you – can you give a quick intro?
I'm from Iceland, born and raised. I started snowboarding around my neighborhood in Reykjavik; shortly after I started, I moved to Sweden, where I currently live, to pursue my endless passion for carving.
What is it about Burton that made you want to join the Team? What does the brand mean to you?
Something that really speaks to me is Burton's goal of lifting women in the scene. I want to be a part of that. When I think of Burton, I think of the colorful pictures and stories I have heard of and seen from snowboarding in the '90s. Burton is a huge part of snowboarding history, and it means a lot to be able to be part of that.
What are you looking forward to the most with Burton?
To snowboard and express myself and by that to contribute to paving the way for the up and coming girls.
