The skylight, the light from the sky, is a powerful thing. The light from the sky aka the sun is what actually powers all things here on Earth. We are just the right distance from the sun to not burn like a piece of forgotten toast or freeze up like an ice cube in the cosmic punch of planets.
Unless volcanic ash or dust caused by a meteor shower blocks out the sun, we are at the perfect temperature to keep the tulips flowering, the lizards' blood warm and get you that nice olive tan in Ibiza. But keeping that perfect distance is a very delicate thing, as we learned from the story of Icarus or from a nasty sunburn or even worse, cataracts and cancer. I don't mean to freak out our pale-skinned friends and chase them back into their caves, but you should definitely keep your peepers protected from harmful UV rays as much as possible, kids. And on the mountain we are even closer to that big ball of exploding nuclear hot gas, so there is even more reason to get something in between your eyeballs and the sun without having to resort to those Babybel cheese wax-looking tanning salon eye protectors.
To get to my goddamn point already, the Skylight goggle from Arnette could keep you on the hill and seeing more than you could ever imagine, because your precious eyesight is protected by a dual-vented lens with 100% UVA/ UVB/ UVC and Harmful Blue Light Protection up to 400NM. Plus they literally broaden your horizon with the over-dimensional panorama lens. This doesn't mean you will have a gondola-like apparatus strapped to your face though, thanks to No Blind Spot technology the lens provides tons of peripheral vision with a trimmed down frame, which means no fish bowl face! The excitement doesn't stop here, no sir, these puppies mold to whatever face you strap 'em to, even the most heavy-browed Neanderthal face. Its F#%G OFF! anti-fog lens coating keeps your goggles from turning into foggles on those days when the mountain is humid like a sauna and you are sweating like a pedophile in a school bus.
Comfy like cushions, you could probably use these goggles for other extreme conditions, not necessarily for snowboarding like...
So here is your chance to WIN some Skylight goggles. Post a photo of you wearing your goggles doing some sort of pre-season activity other than snowboarding on the Arnette Europe facebook page by the 19th of October. The 3 photos we like best gets to rip it up this season with Arnette Skylights on, just like Devun Walsh, Alek Ostreng, Alex Tank, Dustin Craven, Sage Kotsenburg, Zac Marben, Tim Eddy, Ethan Diess and Kevin Jones! Peep some footy...
