Method would like to introduce you to *insert Tony Montana voice* our "little friend": the Hero Cam from GoPro.
When we say little, we're not yanking your chain here, the Hero Cam is the smallest fish-eye photo and video camera on the market. At about the size of mini DV tape (4.45cm x 5.84cm x 3.18cm), it's the size of a goldfish compared to other wide-angle cameras. I know what you're thinking, at that size, the image quality is going to be complete tuna barf...
But at 5 megapixels, the photos this little cam kicks are 170º of crispiness. And the videos aren't some shit your friends phone camera crapped out, at 30 frames per second with a CMOS sensor, the video's quality will get you all gigadigigadigiddy (about one hour of footage on a 2MB SD card).
Now, we're not claiming that these cams are for filming HVX professional quality video parts for your next HD mega movie with. They're for your fun sessions, when you don't want to schlep around the camera bag, take half-a-chairlift-ride of time setting up your tripod and calculate your shot down to the decimal point. Just keep your Hero cam safely tucked away in your pocket and pull it out in a flash to grab your homie's backflip off that windlip.
But the fun doesn't end here, oh no, my friend. Tie down these little trout-eyed cameras to your head and film your own run with the head strap kit. Also, with the special adhesive pads included with the camera, you can stick a mount to your nose or from or your tail and film or shoot progressive photos every 2 to 5 seconds from your run. Shit, you can stick these adhesive pads and film from all types of things: your surfboard, your boat, your car, kayak, jet plane, your girlfriend's left butt cheek...oops, did I say that? You're picking up what I'm putting down here, just stick it and roll. How is the camera gonna survive all this, you ask? Easy, in its Shockproof/Waterproof Quick-Release Housing case. So before I go on any longer and sound like one of those overexcited, coked-up infomercial salesmen and start throwing in free Shamies® if you buy now!, go check some of the footy we got messing around on the hill.
