Like the planets themselves, everything on earth revolves in cycles, from ice ages to peace and war, or even from circumcision practices to clothing fashions. High-waisted pants are back in style, shaving the sides of your head is back, people are even riding directional snowboards again! Gosh, humans are some consistently inconsistent creatures, but as "they" say, the only constant is change.
Vans has been keeping people Off the Wall and on their boards since 1966. The reason Vans are still the most popular shoe amongst skateboarders around the world is because of the waffle sole's extraordinary grip and board feel. Plus they look pretty fucking sweet. Although Vans has seen every style and trend possible roll in and out like the tide over the years, the shoes themselves have changed very little. Basically, they are the benchmark, the standard by which all other skate shoes are judged by. A classic, in every sense of the word.
But Vans have also been putting out snowboard boots for over 16 years now, bringing the Vans quality and style for us mountain types. You can check out the full new 2013 line right here. Like we said, classic shit. And you just can't fuck with a classic. Peep some dusty retro old Vans ads we found, share with your old man, he'll be pumped!
The new Hi-Standard snowboard boot comes with that V-line logo on the side you have come to know so well over the years, seen most recently seen on the Old-Skools. But the original shoe models that had the V-line logo were the Style 36 and 38. They didn't even have names for models back then, just factory-style numbers!
So these hot dogs might look like the old 70's shoe, but the Hi-Standard has the high standards of our brave new world built into them, including the ClassicLite outsell for created specifically for high-performance futuristic snowboard moves. It also features stainless steel double-posted lace hooks,an instep lace lock lut and internal web harness in the liner for massive heel hold, plus OTW Lace Lock to make sure you're laced in tight and ready for take off. These soft boots have the pervy Pleasure Cuff for you hedonists out there who like to indulge in plush contentedness when you ride.
