"Cheechako, an Alaskan snowboard adventure" is a film about two freeride shredders who know a thing or two about resilience. In this movie, Garrett and Inaki went on a road trip to Alaska to find the ultimate freeride fix. With their true mountaineer fashion of patience and 'doing it by yourself, they managed to score some insane lines!
Words from the crew:
"We left Nelson, BC, towards the end of March for the five-day drive to Alaska. We’d planned to try and pull off another glacier mission with the airplane, but relentless storms had us searching for plans that didn’t need a perfect weather window. This year, the goal was simple — spend as much time on our snowboards as possible — and I think we did a good job of that. We camped on the side of the road for over a month, chasing breaks in the weather. Then, just days before my birthday, we got the best surprise I could have imagined: two open seats for the last day of the heli-boarding season. Sometimes it pays to be in the right place at the right time.
Every shot was filmed by Inaki and me (Worm). We took turns flying the drone and kept the Sony cameras buried in our packs, no matter what we were riding. . Much love-Worm"
