When the Rome squad goes sightseeing on the side of some Japanese snowy roads, it gives you "Roadside Attractions" - a short movie that will make you want to go on a hitchhiking trip and hope to get picked up by this crew...
Words by the gang:
"Few places in the snowboarding universe hold the lore that Japan in January does. Countless clips, full projects and careers have been launched from these bottomless forests. So, when Keegan Hosefros first suggested we consider a team trip to the Hokkaido region, naturally the next question was only, who’s down? January of 2025 saw historic snowfall hit the northern Island of Japan our crew was lucky enough to be there for the lion’s share of it. Our international crew of bootpack bandits consisted of Ståle Sandbech, Rene Rinnekangas, Keegan Hosefros, Martin Lässer and the hometown heroes Yuri Okubo and Kaishi Obata. Guided by the sage wisdom of Tsutomu Nakata, this gang of hungry boarders truly did not set foot on a resort.
Driving through Japanese mountains, scoping zones out the window, ripping pow right back to the van. Now that’s good livin’. "
